Since 1961, the marine forces depended on training and qualifying its officers on the friends and brother’s faculties and initiations, in order to sustains this squad officers, self-reliance is the cause of establishing the College of marine, when receiving the first batch (43) infantry forces which now ranked lieutenant colonel, then the batches followed respectively, where squad forces organized as per the plan, till reached batch (14) marine.
After twenty years, of performance and struggling as a new addition to the international marine exchanging experiments and knowledge's.
The establishment of the marine academy in 1993, is an efforts of the pioneers from the Sudanese marines, the initial idea came as a result of continuing conversations and negotiations of those who concerned about lunching a marine academy.
The main objectives of establishing the academy was to gradated marine forces to perform as marine forces to fight effectively and ready for defense, and handling responsibility with aspiration.
Academic qualification:
Duration of the study:
- Duration of the study is four years, after it, the student get bachelor of naval studies.
- The student graduates as an officer in a naval lieutenant rank.
Bachelor program:
The student studies 190 accredited hours include humanitarian studies, college requirements and requirements of the naval specialization.
The student studies 200-210 credit hours as below:
a- 22 credit hours for humanitarian studies include Islamic studies, Arabic language, English language and social studies.
b- 68 credit hours for college requirements include mathematics, engineering subjects, environmental subjects, engineering economy, engineering unit and workshops.
c- 110-120 credit hours for section requirements and specialization.
Engineering college awards Military sciences diploma for cadets where they study about (2000) hours of communication in different practical and theoretical military fields which include field projects that qualify them to act in military field armored with science and training as armed forces officers. This situation is not applicable on civilian students who study at the university.
