Aeronautics College

Sudanese Arm Forces had passed many stages in its contemporary history, since its establishment in 1954th, when Sudan sent tenth of its Non-Commissioned Officers to study in Egypt, and returned after two years of studying as technical pilots, it was the core of Sudan Air Forces.
The Air Forces historically belonged to the Khartoum squad unit, which later named as military Air Force after being separated from Khartoum squad in 1961th
Constrains facing Air Forces:

• Different patterns of abroad training
• Lack of scientific missions and opportunities 
• Pilots graduated in different (air fighters) not existed in Sudan, thence training transferred to suit the available air fighters which is too expansive
• Because training was conducted abroad, it was difficult to set scientific future plans on scientific basis 

Sudan Air Forces and Air Defense history was brighter in the fighting fields, many air troops were sacrificed their souls for dignity, the first pioneer mujahidin were in 1956. The progress of the Sudan Air forces development witnessed transitional stages for the sake of protecting Sudan earth and dignity.
As a result of all mentioned above, the establishment of the Aviation Science College was established in 1989, through the inauguration the College at (Shaheed mujtahid late Mukhtar Air Base), which transferred to Port Sudan on Oct. 1993.
During the period of the Aviation Sciences College, seven batches were graduated of Military students, specialized in different fields as (air fighters – navigators – air controllers. Since 2003, the studying courses were developed to adapt with an advance higher education requirement.
 The belongingness of the College was modified to be one of the Karary University Colleges, and modified its basic system with effect from 2008th.
