Official Announcement – Transfer Admissions For The 2024/2025 Academic Year - (22/Aug/2024)

TO: Prospective Transfer Students from External Universities

The Secretariat of Academic Affairs at Karary University hereby announces the official opening of the application window for transfers from other recognized higher education institutions to various faculties within the university.

Applications will be accepted starting 25 August 2024, strictly subject to the policies and conditions outlined below:

PART I: GENERAL ELIGIBILITY

Level Restriction: Transfer is strictly not permitted for students currently in their first year (level one).

Prerequisite: The applicant must have successfully completed Level One in its entirety at their previous institution to be considered for transfer.

PART II: CONDITIONS FOR TRANSFER (SELF-FUNDED / PRIVATE SPONSORSHIP BASIS)

Students transferring from other higher education institutions may apply for admission on a self-funded basis, provided they meet all of the following conditions:

  1. Academic Standing: The student must have successfully passed all courses undertaken at the transferring institution.
  2. Justification: There must be a valid, acceptable reason for the transfer, subject to the approval of the University Admissions Committee.
  3. Secondary Certificate Requirement: The applicant’s secondary school certificate percentage must meet or exceed the minimum admission requirement for private sponsorship in the desired faculty for the relevant academic year.
  4. Timing: The transfer must take place at the beginning of the academic level.
  5. Study Duration: The applicant must have spent at least half (50%) of the required study duration at the transferring institution.
  6. Current Registration: The applicant must hold active, official registration status at the transferring institution up until the date the transfer request is officially accepted by Karary University.
  7. Faculty Discretion: The receiving faculty reserves the absolute right to determine the applicant’s eligibility, assign the academic level of admission, and stipulate any additional academic requirements or bridging courses.
  8. Fee Calculation: Transfer and tuition fees shall be calculated based on the current academic year fees of the receiving faculty, irrespective of the academic level into which the student is admitted.
  9. PART III: REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

    Applicants must prepare the following documents for electronic submission:

  10. A duly completed online transfer application form (link provided below).
  11. A copy of the secondary school certificate or its official equivalent.
  12. A comprehensive academic transcript indicating the number of semesters studied, which must be officially certified/attested by the Ministry of Higher Education.
  13. A clear copy of the applicant’s National Identification Card.
  14. PART IV: SUBMISSION PROCEDURE AND INQUIRIES

    Electronic Submission: The transfer process is entirely electronic. All required documents and the application form must be submitted through the official Karary University portal.
