Karary University Announces May 4 Start Date for Final Exams, Center Allocations, and Fee Deadlines. - (09/Apr/2024)

Karary University has finalized logistics for its even-semester final progression examinations, setting a May 4 start date across five domestic and international testing centers. University administration is urging all students to immediately verify their center assignments and prepare for an upcoming tuition payment window.

Exams will be administered simultaneously across centers in Atbara, Port Sudan, Cairo, Riyadh, and the United Arab Emirates. According to the administration, students have been allocated to these locations based on a previously completed survey, and switching centers will not be permitted.

Students currently outside Sudan who initially selected "Gulf countries" or "other regions" on their surveys must choose between the Saudi Arabia and UAE centers. However, their registration will only be confirmed after they directly contact the respective center directors.

Tuition Payment Window Opens Next Week

Before receiving access to testing, students must settle their tuition fees for the 2021/2022 academic year. The university has designated a strict payment window from April 9 to April 24.

Students can verify their outstanding balances online by selecting the 2021/2022 academic year and second installment. Payments can be made via the OKash application or in person at any branch of Omdurman National Bank using the student's ID number.

Exam Fees Structure Announced

In addition to tuition, students are required to pay separate examination fees exactly one week before their tests begin. The fee structure is as follows:

  • Theoretical Exams (Within Sudan): 30,000 SDG
  • Practical Exams (Within Sudan): 20,000 SDG (Applicable only to faculties with practical components.)
  • External Centers (Cairo, KSA, UAE): Fees are determined locally and must be paid in coordination with the respective center directors.

The administration issued a strict warning regarding bank transfers: students must explicitly write "Examination Fees / Student ID / Student Name" in the payment reference field. Failure to do so may result in payment verification delays.

Exam Day Logistics

A general timetable outlining test dates for all faculties has been published, with detailed, course-specific schedules to follow in a separate announcement.

All exams will be run in two daily sessions—a morning session at 8:00 AM and an afternoon session at 12:00 PM, based on Sudan standard time. The university emphasized that external centers will adjust for local time zones to ensure all students sit for the exams simultaneously.
