The College of Medical Radiological Science at Karary University aspires to become a leading academic institution in Sudan and be well recognized worldwide for quality education in Radiological professions research and community service.

The College of Medical Radiological Science at Karary University prepares competent, safe and caring X-ray technology professionals through educational programs that emphasize state of the art practice and current scientific knowledge; foster self-directed learning, critical thinking and innovation; encourage community-oriented research; promote interdisciplinary collaboration; and build professional identity and commitment.

1. Upon successful completion of the program, the students will perform as competent entry level technologists.

2. All students will be able to communicate effectively in a healthcare setting.

3. Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Goal 1

  1. Students will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of patient care positioning skills, technical factors and equipment.
  2. Students will practice radiation protection measures in a clinical setting.

Goal 2

  1. Students will be able to explain common radiographic procedures verbally.
  2. Students will be able to document pertinent patient information
  3. Students will demonstrate effective patient/technologist communication skills using both subjective and objective patient data collection.

Goal 3

  1. Students will demonstrate the ability to correlate theory in radiologic procedures with patient’s condition and modify routine imaging procedures based on a patient’s condition.
  2. Students will be able to review the patient’s history and physical exam and prepare the procedure room and equipment based on those findings.
  3. Students will demonstrate clinical competency through the clinical evaluation process.
