Professional Experiences:

  • Quality management of manufactured pharmaceuticals including intravenous solutions, tablets, creams, ointments, oral solutions, syrups, injections and medicated dressings (Sudan).
  • Familiar with techniques requiring the use of sophisticated analytical instrumentation including NMR spectroscopy, UV/VIS, Fluorescence, and IR spectrophotometry, Mass spectrometry, chromatographic methods and X-Ray Diffraction for the analysis and identification of drugs, and their quantitative determinations.
  •  Sound knowledge and experience in development, and validation of analytical assay methods (particularly HPLC) for the determination of drug levels in various biological matrices.
  • Other research field studies involving investigation of the stability of various drug dosage forms stored under reasonable and accelerated conditions of temperature, pH, humidity, light..etc.. versus time.
  •    Involvement in many Bioavailability-Bioequivalence studies, acting as Senior Bioanalyst for several studies, in charge of assay validation reports of drugs, which have been submitted to Gulf Countries for registration and marketing. A list of some selected drugs on which studies has been performed were: Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Cefaclor, Cefuroxime, Cephalexin, Cephradine, Ciprofloxacin, Gemifloxacin, Mefenamic acid, Diclofenac Sodium, Glibenclamide, Gliclazide, Norfloxacin, Ofloxacin, Acyclovir,  Cefixime,  etc. This includes the investigation and evaluation of the pharmacokinetic profile of a new galenical preparation form of a drug in healthy volunteers in comparison with standard formulation of the same drug, to assess the bioequivalence of the test formulation.
  • Sufficient knowledge in liquid chromatography analysis coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS), and their applications in pharmaceutical analysis and clinical studies.
  • Sufficient knowledge in handling Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) as a new concept in separation science.
  • Sufficient knowledge in Food and Beverage Laboratory Titrating Methods.
